Fashion is getting clearer than ever. The future of fashion is here, and it looks sweaty AF.
As reported by Glamour, Topshop has recently released a pair of completely see-through plastic jeans — and no one is sure as to why.
These are basically Kylie Jenner’s clear plastic booties taken to the next level, and I’m getting sweaty just looking at them. Even Topshop admits the pants aren’t exactly ideal for everyday wear, claiming they’d be perfect “as a statement piece for a festival or costume party.” The brand goes on to recommend you either “take the look to the extreme with a bikini and sequin jacket or dress [them] down, layered under an oversized jumper or asymmetric hem dress.” (Both of these options still sound very moist to me.)
On the plus side, the “jeans” come in Topshop’s super popular and very flattering MOTO cut, which means they’re the perfect straight-leg, cropped just above the ankle. They’re also machine-washable, which is probably not something you’re concerned about if you’re debating buying a pair of 100% polyurethane pants — but is definitely a positive all the same.
However, it seems like most of the internet isn’t convinced these pants are a good idea — and many have taken to social media to express their concern over Topshop’s peculiar new product.
But hey, everyone’s sense of style is different — and if you want these badass pants for your flawless Zenon-inspired wardrobe, you can buy Topshop’s clear jeans.
