Love is a beautiful thing! It becomes more beautiful when we receive or compliment our spouses. Truly, the very beautiful things of this life are seen in very simple things. The things we say have a big impact on our marriages. This isn’t one of the things you should say no to in a relationship. Men sometimes get the reputation for being the less communicative sex, but that doesn’t mean they don’t thrive on affirming words from their wives.
Whether or not your husband is begging for verbal affection, here are five compliments that your hubby needs to hear always;
1. YOU ARE THE BEST FRIEND I HAVE:
Usually when husbands and wives are best friends, it creates an emotional intimacy that can’t be beat. Your husband needs to know that you consider him to be your very best friend, your go-to person when you feel happy, sad, elated, discouraged or stressed.
2. YOU LOOK AMAZING:
Every man appreciates being told that he looks incredible. When it comes from you, it means a lot! It means that much more when it’s unsolicited. So, the next time you see your hubby, take a good, long look at him, and then tell him he looks amazing.
3. I LOVE YOUR SMELL:
If you love the way your hubby smells, tell him. When he cuddles up to you on the couch, whisper, “You smell delicious. He’ll take note to always spray on that same perfume whenever he wants to be close to you.
4. YOU ARE VERY SMART:
Your hubby is a genius. You know it, even if you don’t always like to admit it. Even if he doesn’t have multiple degrees or sit on some high-profile board, he probably schools you whenever you play Temple Run. He knows his stuff. Admire him smartly and tell him out loud how much you appreciate him.
5. YOU ARE MY BETTER HALF:
This is one of those compliments that will make him melt, especially if you say it to him while holding him close like you’ll never let go. You get bonus points if you say it in front of his parents, siblings or friends. It really is true! When you reflect on the strength, companionship and love the two of you share, it’s easy to see that, without your hubby, you wouldn’t be who you are.
