Acne is an infected or inflamed area on your skin and it usually gets red and swollen.
Are you tired of people stopping you and giving you several names of cream or drugs that can help cure your acne?
Do you feel embarrassed about how people won’t mind their business and keep their mouth out of your face?
Here are a few useful tips to get acne under control
1. Understand your body/skin:
The skin is your largest organ and it needs all the care it can get. Most times, the things we eat are the major contributor to getting acne. Watch out for dairy, gluten and milk in your food.
2. Drink a lot of water:
We know you drink water but drink enough water, it helps reduce oil production in your body. This way you pore are not going to get clogged.
3: Beware of makeup:
You feel you can hide all that acne under makeup? Well maybe but be careful not to clog your pores with it your face needs to breath. Always wear a primer before applying and never forget to take it off before bed. Mineral makeup is best for your skin. Sleeping in makeup is just doing your acne face more bad than good.
4: Watch out for harsh chemicals:
if you use multiple harsh products such as benzoyl peroxide , salicylic acid make sure to eliminate all of them and use only a gentle cleanser and moisturizer.
5. Stay away from too much stress:
We know we all have busy lives but some studies have linked stress to acne, so try and find what’s making you feel stressed and try to make your schedule organized hence reducing stress.
This will help remove dead cells. Exfoliating your skin removes dead cells hence giving way for a new fresher skin. Make sure to avoid abrasive exfoliation.
My favorite most effective mask to use is the DIY turmeric masks. Mix turmeric, honey, and lemon juice. Create a mask that works for your skin.
8. Visit a spa:
Get facials done. Most facials helps remove the dirt trapped in your skin, you will see it removed physically and it helps make your skin breath.
Hopefully this tips helps your skin and don’t forget to be confident regardless of having acne. Never let acne get the best of your self esteem.
